BERLIN (Reuters) - A 77-year-old German prostitute was mugged after leaving a brothel at the end of her night shift and slightly injured, a police spokesman said Wednesday.The woman could be the oldest prostitute working in Germany, the spokesman in the western town of Bochum said. Prostitution is legal in most parts of the country.
"It's a very unusual case," he said.
The woman had finished her shift at 4:30 a.m. and left the central Bochum brothel Saturday when an assailant grabbed her handbag, knocked her to the ground, and fled.
